Back to her old stomping grounds! Fourteen years after Britney Spears took the stage at the Super Bowl halftime show in 2001, the pop star returned to the big game on Sunday, Feb. 1.
Spears, who played Super Bowl XXXV's halftime show with Aerosmith, 'N Sync, Mary J. Blige, and Nelly, traveled to Glendale, Ariz. for this past weekend's Super Bowl XLIX with her new boyfriend Charlie Ebersol.
Us Weekly confirmed this past November that the "Work Bitch" singer, 33, is in a relationship with producer and writer Ebersol, 32. The happy twosome hit the big game together, watching the New England Patriots defeat the Seattle Seahawks by a score of 28 to 24.
Spears and her new man looked happy and casually chic at the event. They posed for photos at the University of Phoenix stadium in coordinated denim-and-black outfits.
The pop princess wore dark skinny jeans tucked into black zipper booties and paired with a black top with cutouts and a black leather jacket. Ebersol opted for dark jeans, black lace-up shoes, a white collared shirt, and a pinstriped blazer.
Spears tweeted from the showdown, praising Katy Perry for her halftime performance and sharing one Super Bowl ad that caused quite a stir. "Let's goooo #SuperBowl!! #SuperBowlRally" the singer tweeted with a link to her mysterious 11-second sports spot.
The ad, which appears to be a promotion for the big game itself, shows Spears sitting at a vanity mirror in a plunging black top and with her long blonde locks down and wavy. As she sings "Ohhhh," she applies eye black below each eye, and starts to drum on the counter in front of her as she raises her pitch.
"Britney's getting ready," the ad reads. "Are you?"
The commercial led some fans to believe that Spears was planning to make a surprise appearance, while others interpreted the ad as a teaser for next year's halftime show.

"BRITNEY SPEARS IS AT THE SUPER BOWL?!?! WHAT IF SHE IS PERFORMING WITH KATY" one fan tweeted. Another chimed in, "Does the super bowl rally mean Britney is performing next year?!"
While Spears gave little clarification on her own Twitter, she did share a photo of herself with Ebersol. Sitting in a car in coordinated mirrored sunglasses, the couple beamed after their day at the game.
The Grammy winner's coupling with Ebersol followed her public and painful breakup from David Lucado this past August. After a year and half, Lucado allegedly cheated on Spears.
