The body of Brittany Murphy has allegedly arrived at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills, TMZ reports. The funeral for the actress, who died at age 32 Sunday, is scheduled for Christmas Eve, and is said to be "strictly private," says E! News. So far, no public memorial has been announced.
Forest Lawn is a well-known resting place for Hollywood's bygone greats: TV stars John Ritter and Freddy Prinze Sr., pianist Liberace, showbiz cowboy Gene Autry and silent screen icon Buster Keaton are all buried there.
Murphy's cause of death -- she reportedly suffered full cardiac arrest -- has yet to be officially reckoned. L.A. coroners completed an autopsy Monday, but explained to UsMagazine.com that results would be deferred for four to six weeks, pending toxicology, histiological and neurological tests.
On Tuesday, confidential investigators notes -- revealing copious prescription drugs found by Murphy's bedside and other details -- were leaked to TMZ.
The L.A. Coroner's office released a statement later Tuesday night, chastising the leak: "it is the policy and practice of the Department of Coroner to only release detailed information in cases where the final cause of death has been determined and the case investigation has been completed and closed by the Deputy Medical Examiner."
