Brittany Murphy's Husband Found Dead at 39

Simon Monjack's dead body was found Sunday night -- in the same Hollywood Hills home in which his wife, Brittany Murphy, collapsed and died just five months ago.

The Los Angeles County Coroner's office confirmed Monday morning that Monjack, 39, a British screenwriter, was pronounced dead. Law enforcement sources told the Hollywood Reporter that Murphy's mother, Sharon, discovered Monjack's body around 9:30 p.m. and called 911.

"We have detectives at scene," Sgt. Louie Lozano told the Los Angeles Times Sunday night. "They are conducting their investigation. Once we have further information, we will provide it."
Police have said the cause of death appears to be natural causes.

Murphy died at 32 of pneumonia complicated by an iron deficiency, anemia and multiple drug intoxication last December. Monjack discovered her body on the bathroom floor, according to notes from an investigator with the L.A. corner's office. He "attempted to revive the decedent by placing her in the shower and running the water."
The two wed in 2007 and had no children.

69I am almost the same age as them, have a lot of similar health ailments. I'm currently disabled b/c of chronic anemia. And I also have iron issues. Is there any way we could be able to find out about what the medical results find during this story? What medications were to blame? I'm currently under the care of a physician on a regular basis. Is there some info I could pass to him? Has anyone looking into the iron medications? Were they taking iron or trying to get it out? I am anemic with an iron overload. Any info would be great!! I agree Faith, just finding her daughter dead is traumatizing itself now she finds Simon dead 2?? This whole thing stinks 2 high Heaven. She will need grief counseling 4 the rest of her life. The guy was shady & God 4give me, but it's better 4 Sharon that he's gone.
I wonder how many dead bodies the LAPD will have to find Sharon Murphy standing over before they make a question about it.

very sad. I find it rather interesting that only in California can you die young of natural causes.
Tragic situation all the way around. To think two people died in the same house, within approximately five months of each other is kind of eerie. The house should be named," The House of Horrors." It wouldn't suprise me if it was haunted. Who would want to live in it now? Not me, that's for sure. I'm a bit squeamish when it comes to death.
Sharon Murphy seems to be knee deep in bodies, first Brittany, then her own mother and now Simon. Plus, unless I'm mistaken she'll inherit from all of them.

This is really sad. He and Brittany will be together again now though and I hope he is at peace

ok so if the mom happenes to die in a couple of months then what is everyone going to say... the housekeeper did it? I mean come on people know one yet know how this man died. No one knows what kind of health he was in just because he looked "normal" in a photo doesn't mean he had no health problems. He could have very well died from natural cause a heart attack, diabetes, ect... My best friend in high school died at 17 after our school track meet from a HEART ATTACK at 17... And know she wasn't or had never done any drugs or alcohol. 39 isnt old but isnt that young either. Let this family grieve over the loss of two young souls and quit being so evil

Um...I don't think Britney's mother had anything to do with her dying from pneumonia. And Simon's autopsy results are not even in yet. Some of these comments are pretty lame.
