Moving on. Brittny Gastineau and Retna (Marquis Lewis) have settled their differences after a violent confrontation that left Kim Kardashian's bestie with a black eye. The two released a joint statement to Us Weekly on Monday, June 16, saying that they have since put the incident behind them.
"Though we disagree about the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident," the statement read, "we do agree that the incident was unfortunate, regrettable and unnecessary." It also read, "We both wish to put the matter behind us and neither of us holds any ill will toward the other."
Gastineau sparked concern last Tuesday, June 10, when she stepped out at a popular L.A. eatery with a black eye. Not long after, it was revealed that the fashion blogger had been involved in a physical altercation with Retna, a famous street artist.
"They had a heated argument, but in no way was she the aggressor," a source close to Gastineau told Us of the fight. The insider added that Gastineau had sustained injuries elsewhere, in addition to her bruised face.
Lewis' lawyer, Michael Goldstein, meanwhile, insisted to Us that his client did not initiate the violent confrontation either.
"Look, the guy was down and out—he had just had surgery—he was debilitated, lying in bed," Goldstein told Us. "[Lewis] just wants to respect her privacy and he holds no ill will towards her and he chose not to get the police involved, even though he sustained injuries to his face, hand, and ear."
