Real Housewives of New Jersey couple Teresa and Joe Giudice are selling their dream home.
With a reported $11 million of debt, the couple recently filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy and are accordingly cutting corners.
First to go: their lavish Towaco, NJ home whose construction was documented on the first season of the show. The over-the-top, custom-designed estate features a 10,000 square-foot house on 3.77 acres of wooded property and is on the market for $3.99 million, E! News reports.
What else does almost $4 million get you? 16 rooms, five and a half-baths, two ponds, a stream, a man-made waterfall, game room, wine room, a separate live-in guest suite -- and plenty of gold and marble accents.
At an event earlier this week, Guidice told UsMagazine.com that "staying positive is the only thing I could do," in the wake of her family's financial woes. "I have moral support; I have my daughters and my husband. As long as we're in good health, that's all we can do. I think this kind of situation is all over the world."
Update: Giudice took to her Twitter account to deny the original reports after the listing was pulled from Realtor.com's site.
"Huge news correction. I'm telling you guys first and directly…My House is not for sale," the housewife Tweeted Friday. "Sorry if you were dreaming of moving in w/ me."
