“You know, everybody goes through tough times in their life and deals with a lot of different things,” the I Am Cait star, 66, said. “I always look at it as ‘Everybody has their stuff,’ you know? It’s how you deal with your stuff, and how you come out the other end.”

“Things are going well,” Jenner added of her formerly reclusive stepson, who is expecting his first child with fiancée Blac Chyna

Jenner stunned at the event in a black Donna Karen sequined dress. The E! reality star accepted the award for Outstanding TV Journalism with Diane Sawyer. The journalist helped Jenner announce her transition to the world during an emotional 20/20 interview in April 2015.

“I would say I’ve always been confused with my gender identity,” Jenner told Sawyer during their sit down. “For all intents and purposes, I am a woman.”

As previously reported, Jenner chose to do the interview with the ABC veteran because Sawyer’s always been very supportive of the LGBT community.
