Caitlyn Jenner is no longer keeping up with the Kardashians. The I Am Cait star’s relationship with stepdaughters Kourtney, Kim and Khloé Kardashian is “strained,” a source tells Us Weekly.
According to the insider, “all three sisters feel there should have been an ‘I’m sorry’ moment from Caitlyn” after the former athlete’s 2015 Vanity Fair cover story, in which the Kardashians felt that Caitlyn, 66, threw their mom, Kris Jenner, under the bus.
“Khloé is scorned and they never had a real resolution after their initial fight after the Vanity Fair article, nor after the fight resulting from the Howard Stern interview,” the source tells Us, referring to Khloé’s January 2016 interview with the self-proclaimed king of all media, when the Strong Looks Better Naked author, 31, claimed that Caitlyn was “not honest” with Kris about her transition.
Kim, 35, and Kourtney, 37, the source says, have also lost touch with their former stepfather.
“Kim is not as close to Caitlyn anymore; she was after she first transitioned but as things came out and Caitlyn stayed unapologetic, the relationship got more and more strained,” the insider explains, adding that Kim’s solidarity remains with her mom. “Because of how things played out with Bruce and with Caitlyn, she is reluctant to have a serious relationship with Caitlyn.”
The insider tells Us that Kourtney, who hasn’t always been the closest with Caitlyn, “doesn’t really get involved.”
Tension among the clan became apparent this Father’s Day after the reality stars failed to give Caitlyn a shout-out on social media.
Kourtney and Kim posted about their late father, Robert Kardashian Sr., but only Kendall and Kylie Jenner shared messages about their dad.
