Calvin Harris: I’m ‘Blessed’ to Have Worked With Taylor Swift

Hashtag blessed. Calvin Harris tweeted on Friday, November 4, that he feels lucky to have worked with ex Taylor Swift on his spring hit “This Is What You Came For” — and fans could barely contain their emotions.

“I am blessed to work with incredible artists @rihanna @taylorswift13 thank you!!!” the Scottish DJ, 32, wrote, tweeting a link about the single hitting certified double platinum in the U.K.

Harris’ gracious message is in stark contrast to his angry social media rant against Swift, 26, in July, shortly after the pair called it quits on their relationship and she began a high-profile, but short-lived, relationship with actor Tom Hiddleston. At the time, Harris slammed the “Wildest Dream” singer for trying to make him “look bad” after it was revealed that she had a hand in penning the smash hit.

He at first praised Swift but then added, “Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though,” he tweeted on July 13. “I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do.”

His candid comment surprised fans, and Harris later told British GQ in September that he regretted his harsh words about Swift, who he dated for 15 months. “It was completely the wrong instinct,” he told the publication. “I was protecting what I see as my one talent in the world being belittled. It felt like things were piling on top of me, and that was when I snapped.”

Since then, the exes seem to have maintained a cordial relationship, although fans pointed out that Harris’ new music video for “My Way,” released at the end of October, seemed to shade Swift by mimicking poses and outfits used in her music videos.
