In the midst of a grave battle with prostate cancer, actor Dennis Hopper filed for divorce from Victoria Duffy -- his fifth wife, whom he married in 1996.

"I wish Victoria the best, but only want to spend these difficult days surrounded by my children and close and friends," Hopper, 73, said in a statement published by BBC News. His rep told Reuters that the actor "wants peace and quiet."

You know, kind of a d*ck move on his part, but from the looks of that picture she's got "crazy b*tch" written all over her, so kudos to him.

I agree with Amber. Unless you are fighting cancer or are a cancer survivor, you can't possibly know the challenges and life changing issues you deal with under these circumstances. What he wants to do with his last days should be his choice. Those that weigh judgement are not worth his time now. God Bless Dennis through the rest of his journey.

Cancer brings important life lessons, and many of them involve your relationships. Majority of people who are cancer patients (survivors) endure a break-up, either a romantic one, friend one, or family one, because we realize who is truly supporting us on our incredibly painful and traumatic journey, and who is just bringing us down. So dont judge until you have had cancer and know what he is doing through.

Oh she will get plenty of money because she has been married to him for 14 years and they have a child. I'm guessing she is a pain in the butt and he cannot deal with it. I would not want to live my last days with someone that does not respect that I am sick and need peace.
