This holiday season was a sad one for Caroline Manzo. The former Real Housewives of New Jersey star and her family lost their beloved dog, Austin, to an undisclosed illness on Christmas morning. 

"RIP my beautiful little puppy, you were so loved," the Bravo standout and mom of three tweeted on Dec. 25, alongside a photo of Austin in Santa's lap. "Santa has a new sidekick - xoxo."

Later, she posted some pictures of the pup with kids Albie, Lauren, and Christopher. "Dogs are in peace, Austin," she wrote on her website. "We all love and miss you."

Lauren, 25, also mourned her dog's death online. "RIP my old man...I love you so much - you were the best dog in the world," she captioned a photo of the family pet on Instagram. "I will always love you Austin. Go play with Harley!"

Added Albie, 27: "Lost our little guy today, been with us every step of the way for the last 17+ years. Gonna miss you buddy."
