Casey Anthony walked free from a Florida jail early Sunday morning. Wearing a bright pink t-shirt and jeans, the 25-year-old walked out the front door of the Orange County jail with her lawyer, Jose Baez, and two protection officers by her side.
In addition to news crews, around 1,000 people came to the Florida jail to witness Anthony's release. CNN reports that as Anthony left, demonstrators shouted and jeered, some screaming, "Killer!"
Anthony's defense team is keeping tight-lipped about where their client is headed next.
On July 5, Anthony was acquitted of murder charges in her daughter Caylee's 2008 death. She was, however, convicted on four counts of misleading law enforcement agents who were investigating her 2-year-old daughter's whereabouts; she was sentenced to one year in jail for each charge, with the sentences to be served consecutively. She received three years credit for time served, plus additional credit for good behavior, which allowed her to walk free July 17.
