After a lawsuit against him and ensuing public outcry, CeeLo Green dug himself even deeper this past weekend.

The singer, 39, appeared in court on Friday, Aug. 29, to plead no contest to 2012 charges of providing a woman with ecstasy. Previous rape charges were dropped from the incident, as Green's lawyer has maintained that the performer and the woman in question had consensual sex.

Following the day in court, the former judge of The Voice raised eyebrows when he made controversial, and to many offensive, comments about rape. The tweets have since been deleted, but they were captured by various outlets before Green took them down.

Replying to three Twitter users, Green allegedly wrote, "If someone is passed out they're not even WITH you consciously! So WITH implies consent… when someone brakes on a home there is broken glass where is your plausible proof anyone was raped… women who have really been raped REMEMBER!!!"

He went on to add, "so if I TRIED but did NOT succeed but the person said I DID then what really happened?"

According to Billboard, after he deleted the messages, a follower asked if he had done so, to which Green responded, "yes I did. I will not allow that negative energy to loiter on my time line u still got it so keep it! I'm deleting this too."

The "F–k You" singer went on to issue an apology, which he later deleted as well.

Billboard reports that Green wrote on Monday, Sept. 1, "Let me 1st praise god for exoneration fairness & freedom! Secondly I sincerely apologize for my comments being taken so far out of context… I only intended on a healthy exchange to help heal those who love me from the pain I had already caused from this. Please forgive me as it… was your support that got me thru this to begin with. I'd never condone the harm of any women. Thank you."
