Broadway hunk Cheyenne Jackson will soon be back on the market. The Glee actor and his husband of two years, Monte Lapka, are finally pulling the plug on their relationship after the pair have been "living separate lives" for some time, a source tells Us Weekly.
"I haven't hear one particular reason for the separation, but Cheyenne seems to have been changing a lot this past year," the source said. "His new tattoos … really show how he's trying to transform himself. I have no idea why he's doing it, but I've been watching it happen, really fast, this past year."
Jackson's rep confirmed the news on Thursday, Aug. 1, telling Us, "Cheyenne Jackson and his husband Monte Lapka have mutually decided to divorce. The couple have been together for 13 years and were married in NY State two years ago. It is an amicable parting and, understandably, a private matter."
Jackson, 38, and Lapka, a physicist, have been together for 13 years, and tied the knot during a Hamptons beach ceremony in September 2011.
"It's official, after 11 years together, Zora's no longer a bastard," Jackson captioned a shot of the pair together on Twitter. The NYC-based couple share a dog, Zora, together. "Married the best man I've ever known."
In a statement issued to Playbill.com on Wednesday, July 31, a rep for the actor called the decision to divorce a mutual one.
"It is an amicable parting, and, understandably, a private matter," the statement reads.
Jackson was last seen on Broadway in The Performers.
