Shade from the grave. The late Elizabeth Porter Bowman wasn’t a huge fan of Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler — and that’s pretty clear from her obituary.
No, not from her Facebook or Twitter accounts. In her actual obituary, which has since gone viral.
According to the Chicago Tribune, Bowman was surrounded by her children when she died peacefully at the age of 78 in Northbrook, Illinois, on January 9. Her obituary was published on Tuesday, January 26.
“Betsy was an elementary school teacher and later a tutor, but her passion and focus was being a dedicated and involved mother and grandmother. She was a woman of loyalty, integrity, opinion, curiosity and intelligence,” her obituary reads. “A lifelong fan of the Cubs, Blackhawks and Bears (except Jay Cutler).”
Cutler, 32, has faced less-than-flattering stories before. Last March, a football signed by the athlete didn’t receive a single bid during a pet adoption auction.
Cutler currently lives in Chicago with his wife, Kristin Cavallari, and their three children — Camden, 3, Jaxon, 20 months, and Saylor, 2 months. He’s been playing for the Chicago Bears since 2009.
