Chris Brown’s Lawyer Claims Accuser Baylee Curran ‘Fabricated’ Gun Story

Chris Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, believes that the rapper’s accuser, Baylee Curran, fabricated her story. According to a statement obtained by the Los Angles Times on Thursday, September 1, Geragos said that Brown has “cooperated fully” with authorities during the investigation, but that Geragos believes the former pageant queen, 25, isn’t telling the truth.

“It has become apparent that the allegations are not just false but fabricated,” Geragos said.

As previously reported by Us Weekly, Curran claims that Brown threatened her with a gun after she admired a diamond cross necklace during a gathering at his Los Angeles home early Tuesday, August 30.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Geragos said during a press conference on Friday that no drugs or guns were found by the LAPD while searching Brown’s home Tuesday.

The attorney also told reporters that Curran called police after she “got irate when she was asked to leave because she was acting in an erratic manner.” Geragos added that “this is not the first time” false allegations have been made against his client.

The Grammy-winning rapper, 27, previously claimed via a series of Instagram videos Tuesday that he was asleep a majority of the evening when the altercation allegedly took place. “Let somebody make a f–ked up allegation about me and oh yeah, the whole f–king SWAT team [comes],” he said in another clip. “My n—a. I’m innocent. I’m tired of this s–t.”

The “Loyal” singer was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and released late Tuesday evening on $250,000 bail. He has not been charged. An arraignment is scheduled for September 20.

“I don’t lie, I would never lie. Why, for what? I don’t need the publicity,” Curran previously told Extra during a sit-down interview Wednesday, August 31. “I’m already kind of well-known being [former] Miss California Regional, modeling, upcoming actress, so if I was doing this for fame or something of that sort, why would I do it this way?”

A source tells Us Weekly that “Chris is working and doing fine” and that he “is determined to fight this.”

Us Weekly has reached out to Geragos and Curran for comment.
