Chris “CT” Tamburello is getting by with help from fans and friends after Diem Brown‘s death. The MTV Challenge alum has received an outpouring of love and well-wishes since Brown passed away on Nov. 14 following a long battle with cancer, and on Thursday, Nov. 20, he took a moment to acknowledge and express his gratitude for the support.
“Hello everyone, My family, and I, want to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for all the love and kind words you all have shown me during the hardest time of my life,” he wrote alongside a picture of himself in a suit and holding flowers. “I honestly did not expect to receive so much support. I am going to take some time for myself. And before I go, I thought it was appropriate to let everyone know that you are all appreciated. Thank you so very much.”
The post was Tamburello’s second since Brown’s funeral on Nov. 18. He also shared a photo on Nov. 19, in which he paid tribute to the late star and promised to love her “always and forever.”
“You have always been My Angel. And now you have your wings. We’ve been thru so much over the years. Thru the ups and downs we somehow managed to keep our promise. We never gave up on each other,” he wrote alongside a picture of some rosary beads, a ring, and her portrait. Read more about the former couple’s relationship.
“Our plan to be together forever hasn’t changed…it’s just going to take a little longer now. And I’m going to hold onto this ring for you till we are together again,” he continued. “So don’t worry mama, I’m not afraid. I know you will always be with me to give me your strength. You are The Love of My Life. My reason to be a better man. I Love You Always and Forever.”
Brown and Tamburello met on the 13th season of MTV’s The Challenge back in 2006. Their relationship was on and off for years, during which fans came to root for them on later seasons of the show, including Battle of the Exes and The Duel II.
