Cindy McCain Calls Gwyneth Paltrow a “Joke” After Actress Compares Online Bullying to War

Cindy McCain calls Gwyneth Paltrow a joke after she compares online bullying to being in war.

Gwyneth Paltrow has upset yet another. This time, the actress is taking heat from Senator John McCain's wife Cindy McCain.

Comparing online bullying to actual warfare at a Code Conference earlier this week in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., the Goop founder said: "It's almost like how, in war, you go through this bloody, dehumanizing thing, and then something is defined out of it."

Well, McCain ain't having that.

The 60-year-old wife of war vet and U.S. senator John McCain blasted the Oscar winner on Twitter, tweeting: "Gweneth Paltrow is a joke. Her life is like taking bullets for a soldier. What a joke! My 2 sons serving in the military should talk to her.” (Yes, McCain also incorrectly spelled Paltrow's first name.)

McCain then suggested: "Perhaps Gweneth Paltrow should go out on patrol with some soldiers. Kind of like a Red Carpet in her mind I guess!"

When it comes to Paltrow, though, she might not care what McCain thinks. At the same conference on May 27, the mother of two said the hate directed towards her "has nothing to do with me."

"I see myself as a chalkboard or a whiteboard or a screen, and someone is just putting up their own projection on it," Chris Martin's ex said. "You're talking about a blind stranger having feelings about you. It can only be projection."
