Caught in a dry spell. Gay heartthrob Colton Haynes revealed in a new interview that despite his jaw-dropping good looks, he is unable to recall the last time he was intimate with a man.
“I haven’t had sex in — I couldn’t tell you how long,” the hunky Arrow actor, 28, told Out magazine for a September 2016 cover story. “I wish I had more to tell you, but it just doesn’t happen.”
While he hasn’t found someone to hop in the sack with in quite some time, Haynes has a few thoughts about what his ideal guy might look like. Asked about his celebrity crushes, the Kansas native offered three examples of Hollywood hotties he wouldn’t mind getting in bed with: Idris Elba, Ryan Reynolds and WWE wrestler John Cena.
Though he’s having fun living the single life, the Teen Wolf alum said he wouldn’t mind meeting Mr. Right.
“Someone who just descended from a mountain and said, ‘I don’t have any friends. Would you like to come live with me?’ I’d love that,” he shared with the LGBT publication. “I want to somehow have a happy ending. Or a happy beginning.”
Although he’s looking forward to a future with his perfect partner, Haynes wasn’t always so comfortable with his sexuality. Prior to officially coming out in an interview with Entertainment Weekly back in May, the TV star hid his attraction to men.
When he first moved to Los Angeles in 2006 at age 18 to pursue a career in showbiz, Haynes’ management encouraged him to keep his feelings for the same sex a secret. While he followed their advice for the sake of his reputation, he felt emotionally conflicted because he was, as he explained to Out, essentially living a lie.
“I feel really bad that I had to lie for so long. But I was told that was the only way I was going to be successful,” he said. “When you’re young in this industry, people take advantage of you, and they literally tell you that your dreams are going to come true. If you believe that, you’ll do anything. And you do believe it, especially if you’re from Kansas.”
