As Conan O'Brien tapes his final episode of The Tonight Show on Friday, and some predict an official announcement on Wednesday regarding his future, the embattled late-night host is biding his time with jokes and jabs at NBC.

Look back on another late-night comic's controversy

"Hi, I'm Conan O'Brien, and I'm just three days away from the biggest drinking binge in history," he said during Tuesday's monologue. "I spent the afternoon at Universal Studios' amusement park, enjoying their brand-new ride, the 'Tunnel of Litigation.'"

Noting reports that he is legally prohibited from bad-mouthing the network behind the mess (Jay Leno is taking over O'Brien's time slot after his prime time show was axed), O'Brien joked in his monologue Tuesday "Nobody said anything about speaking in Spanish."

See other TV scandals here!

He then rails off an insult in Spanish which translates to: "NBC is run by brainless sons of goats who eat money and crap trouble."

Team Conan or Team Leno? See stars take sides

The redheaded comic then shares what he'll do with his free time -- and his plans include a Jersey Shore cast member! "Introduce myself to my children...Finally make good on my plan to backpack through India with 'The Situation.'...Make a big move to Fox. Megan Fox."

he is just wierd looking, no wonder nbc wanted to get rid of him. none of these latenight socalled 'entertainers' are remotely amusing or interesting. BOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRiiiiiiinnnnnngggggg. no talent either, any of them. they all use writers and spout someone else's words out on the stage and all the stupid azzholes sitting in front of their tvs at night lap it up like milk and laugh and think their favorite latenight host is so talented and witty. oh, here's a thought: do something a bit more intriquing at that hour instead of rotting your brains with their drivel: watch a good movie, read a good book, or have sex!!!

  • January 22, 2010 - 4:56am Why Are the Execs of NBC still there?

NBC - NoBody Cares. They took the number network with a history of legendary shows: ER, Hill Street Blue, LA Law, Friends, Seinfeld, and the list goes on and turned it into the FOURT network. How do those guys still have their jobs? I don't feel sorry for Conan b/c he did turn a number one show into the number 3 - way before Jay's show came on the air. Plus he's getting more money for killing a franchise show than most countries make. However, the biggest losers of this fiasco is Jeff Zucker and his band of sons of goats who crap trouble and do not deserve the money they make - if anything they should be sued for destroying Jay Leno's and NBC's rep-utation as well as their stellar track record.

Go Conan! Get as much money from NBC as you can. He was given 7 months - not even a year to take over the "Tonight Show" and make it his own. He couldn't even do that. Mr. Leno decided a new gig wasn't for him, and wants his old job back. It's like someone who retires from a major corporation with a compensation package worth millions and millions, then spends a few weeks on the golf course, and wants their job back. I'm from Massachusetts and Jay Leno, you made enough dough with NBC, you had your 17 years, let it go. The best thing that can happen is Conan go to another network, like FOX, and get as much dough as can get and kick Jay to the curb! Jay should be ashamed of himself, he's the savior of NBC, I don't think so..if he comes back to the "Tonight Show", no one should watch a shrewd, sneaky, son of gun like him.

I like Conan. I just can't stand it that he is stooping so low with insults. Being ON TV for all to watch should make him responsible and mature, a professional. Now I am feeling that he SHOULD quit all together. I really don't like hateful and out for blood type of people. Letterman and Kimmel(I really like[D]Kimmel)are just out for blood:Letterman has always been bloody, Kimmel, I expected more from.

I'll miss Conan. He's inventive and fresh and there's something different from show to show. Leno's the same stuff night after night. Bo-o-o-o-r-i-n-g. No wonder his show killed Conan's.

  • January 20, 2010 - 11:11pm TEAM COCO /FU NBC

I love Conan. TEAM COCO!!!! NBC F'd it up. trying to kick Jay out, move Conan, then putting Jay on at 10??? 10pm is a harsh slot, other big shows on that people are hooked on. If people watchABC or CBS, at 10pm, then watch the news there...how many are going to switch back? It's a chain reaction. I like Jay...he is a funny man...I love Conan and feel he is the one suffering, he was getting a great following where he was, and he is not the one at fault...but he is the one to suffer? NBC = No Brain Cells

Haha he always makes the funniest jokes!!! A million times better than Jay who is a bore.

  • January 20, 2010 - 9:51pm Jay

Cocan is a pathetic, whining, untalented fool, who should thank NBC for giving him a job all those years ago to begin with. He should NEVER have been given the late show, he was a writer who had never been in front of the camera, and who never should be in front of a camera. Have tried to watch him and the guy makes me feel ill, he is a major embarrassement, horrible at interviewing, interrupts his guests with all these high pitched, sick noises coming from him mouth. Hope no one else ever hires the guy and he disappears from public view forever. He makes my skin crawl he's so nasty. Yeeewww.

Connan out of NBC? Good for him. I like Connan better than Jay. Connan is funnier than Jay Lenno. I hope Connan next show (Fox??) will be in different time with David Lettermen, so I'll be able to watch both of them. Go Connan Go!!!!

  • January 20, 2010 - 8:27pm KA

Conan is way better than Leno! Whos up for making sure Lenos first night back is a HUGE FLOP!!! BAN NBC AND THE LENO SHOW. He did it to Letterman now hes doing it to Conan someone needs to put this bully in his place! DON"T WATCH THE SHOW!

  • January 20, 2010 - 6:50pm Lisa

Jay Leno does the same old jokes. I don't think he is funny at all. Looks good on him that he lost his prime time spot. Conan is way funnier. I hope he sues them for all their worth. I will never watch Leno the big cry baby.

Yanka's comment can be summed up in one word: Iiiiiinsolence!

  • January 20, 2010 - 5:40pm Angela Hill | INCITRIO

Conan Rules!!! Jay's show cannibalized Conan's show - what where they thinking putting it on an hour before? Conan deserves to be treated way better than this. Especially considering how long he has been with them and the amount of revenue he has contributed stemming all the way back to his early days as a writer on SNL.

  • January 20, 2010 - 3:54pm Jay Go Home

NBC interns are earning their credit by posting in support of Leno's d-baggery.

  • January 20, 2010 - 3:32pm Mike

NBC execs are idiots! What if a 2009 exec was around in 80's 90's. Seinfeld sucks it's been on for 3 years cancel! Cheers sucks in it's first year Cancel! Leno's Tonight show sucks cancel! (But Hugh Grant is on next week) Conan and Leno both on Fox? Nice!

  • January 20, 2010 - 3:15pm Arthur T.

Yanka: Improper defiance? Oh my! (picture me clutch my pearls right now). Conan is doing his job, which is to make jokes about stuff. That's what he does. If he were throwing away material this good, he shouldn't be on the air. Come to think of it, Jay hasn't said one funny thing about this whole matter... Hmm...

  • January 20, 2010 - 3:09pm JerkyTreat

Note to Jeff Zucker: Update your resume and bray like a goat. What a dumba$$

  • January 20, 2010 - 3:03pm Eric Escalona

Jay Leno is the greatest late-night host of all time... for me to poop on!!! Now THERE'S some trouble! ;)

Conan’s on-air rants towards his employers while still under contractual obligation are offensive. Under no circumstances can such behavior be deemed classy or acceptable. I’m probably alone in my assessment that he has shown the least class of all parties involved (which would include Kimmel and Letterman.) With plenty of career opportunities and a $30 million payoff it’s difficult to feel sorry for the man. I didn’t enjoy Conan before the entire ruckus started, but have in the meantime lost complete respect due to his all-too public improper defiance. Fortunately, his unacceptable behavior has benefited NBC slightly, by temporarily boosting the ratings. As to Letterman’s input, the best defense is offense. Letterman’s pathetic input is merely to deflect from his own pitiable conduct.
