CSI: Miami Star Eva La Rue Is Engaged

India-dwellers Katy Perry and Russell Brand weren't the only couple getting engaged in exotic climes over the New Year's holiday: CSI: Miami's Eva La Rue accepted her boyfriend's proposal during a vacation in Bora Bora!
"I just got engaged!" La Rue, 43, told Hollyscoop Tuesday at the Palm Springs Film Festival. Flashing her ring, (a "4-carat cushion cut diamond center stone with small pink side stones and a diamond-studded band), the TV star said that she and boyfriend Joe Cappuccio "got engaged in Bora Bora last week."

And the setting for Cappucio's proposal sounds pretty romantic: "It was a table for two on the beach by the water, we had a private dinner...I knew he was going to do it, I just didn't know when he was going to do it," she said.

How'd they profess their love the morning after?
"The next day we went swimming with sharks," La Rue explained.
The happy couple has put their special day on the fast track, she said.
"We're already planning, probably in the next six months," she admitted.

By all accounts, the pair seem to be globetrotters: after their Bora Bora proposal, she said their wedding is going to be a "destination wedding for sure," and they've got their eye on Thailand.

A friend of mine got an invitation to Eva La Rue's wedding to Joe Cappuccio and it is the 4th of July weekend in Grand Turk on the Turks & Caicos Islands, BWI in a Mansion near the beach! So cool for them!
I met Joe at a fish expo in Quing Dao when they were engaged the first time. I didn't know they broke up after that, but it wouldn't surprise me. It's so funny I spent the whole asia trip trying to figure out who his "starlet" fiancée was and laughed when I saw the Bridal Magazine after I had met him. Also its funny because I used to watch her on All My Children when I was younger so finding out he was engaged to Dr. Maria Santos was pretty exciting.
Joe was the guy she was going to marry when on the cover of the Bridal magazine. They broke it off, worked through whatever they needed to fix and they're re-engaged.

I'm happy for her, but...isn't this the fourth time she's ever been engaged? She's been divorced twice, and she was engaged to somebody else recently. I guess it's old hat to her now. And maybe she shouldn't pose on the cover of a bridal magazine again. It seems to be a curse. She, and at least two other women I can think of did that -- and then their engagements got broken. Don't risk that again!
Wasn't she just engaged to someone else earlier this year? Don't people take marriage serious anymore?
