Watch out, Mr. Grey—Dakota Johnson may have found herself a new man. The Fifty Shades of Grey actress, 24, sparked romance rumors on Wednesday, July 23, when she was seen out-and-about with a male companion.

Johnson was spotted in New York City's East Village neighborhood, cozying up to musician Matthew Hitt. The rocker for the band Drowners held Johnson's hand as they walked the streets of Manhattan.

Hitt, 27, looked like the picture of a rock band hunk on his date with Johnson, wearing an all-black outfit of skinny jeans, a relaxed T-shirt, and a collared jacket.

He was also seen with his arm around Johnson, who wore a mid-calf patterned black dress and a pair of white slip-ons. Hailing from Wales, Hitt moved to New York City in 2011 in hopes of pursuing a modeling career, but went on to link up with three musicians to form the band Drowners, which released its first studio album in January.

No word yet on whether the two are, in fact, romantically involved. Johnson was previously linked to Last Man Standing actor Jordan Masterson in October 2013, and Hitt reportedly dated British model Atlanta De Cadenet in the fall, as well.
