Courteney Cox has been a big supporter of estranged hubby David Arquette on Dancing With the Stars, happily cheering him on from the audience since its September 19 premiere.
But although the separated spouses remain close, Arquette told Access Hollywood he doesn't foresee a romantic reunion in their future.

"We're pretty much in the friend zone," the Scream 4 actor after Monday's taping. "Though we love each other and we love to laugh and have a great time, it's difficult."
Arquette -- currently dating Entertainment Tonight's Christina McLarty -- added that neither he nor Cox, 47, have hidden the status of their relationship from Coco, their 7-year-old daughter.

"Kids know everything -- they know a lot. They feel it, they sense it," Arquette explained. "I was really honest with her throughout the whole experience. There's not much we don't communicate about."
With pro partner Kym Johnson at his side, Arquette dedicated his "O-o-h Child" rhumba -- the night's theme was personal stories -- to his little girl.

Reflecting on the past year (specifically his fall 2010 separation from Cox and his subsequent mental breakdown and rehab stay), Arquette explained: "The voice in the song is me speaking to my daughter...Life is about love and not giving into fear so to dance the dance of love is the perfect way to tell this story."

10Who is the idiot that can't spell idiot ?? The folks are trying to make a sticky situation work and contribute to the well being of THEIR little person...give it a break bitter person.
Not that I'm an advocate of divorce. But I'm left to wonder why they haven't filed for divorce, if they have no plans on getting back together and fixing what's broken in their marriage.
File for divorce then.
Very commendable.
its good they can be that close. Me and my sons dad do not get along but i put up a fake face around them for his sake so he doesnt have to hear arguing....i think its hard to be friends with someone, especially if you werent the one to dump them. So i give them props for that!
I mean Idiot.
Idoit.
idiot.
Yeah but kids don't need to know that much. They just care that Mommy and Daddy are home and that they don't have to be afraid. Drawing a kid into your relationship with your supposedly mature partner is just too much information. And please button your shirt, that was just scary last night.
So sad that they split but how sweet that they're so close and put their daughter first. I think a lot of couples could take lessons from them! I still wish they would get back together but it's nice to see them act like mature, loving parents and now, friends.
