The sweetest! Diana Ross took out a full-page ad in The Hollywood Reporter to congratulate her daughter Tracee Ellis Ross on her Emmy nomination.
As previously reported by Us, Tracee, 43, is up for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Rainbow Johnson on ABC sitcom Black-ish.
“Congratulations to my daughter Tracee Ellis Ross on her nomination for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her work on Black’ish. So proud of you,” the ad, which features an adorable photo of Tracee laughing, reads. “Love, Mom and the Ross Family.”

Tracee acknowledged the sweet gesture from the iconic performer, tweeting on Tuesday, August 16: “OMG how cute r my mom @DianaRoss & family 4 taking an ad in @THR ☺️☺️ I ❤️U!! #blackish #Emmys #RossFamilyRocks.”
Her nomination marks the first time a black woman has been nominated in the category since Phylicia Rashad earned a nod in 1986 for her portrayal of Clair Huxtable on The Cosby Show.
This is Tracee’s first Emmy nomination. The actress is nominated alongside Veep’s Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Inside Amy Schumer’s Amy Schumer, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’s Ellie Kemper, Getting On’s Laurie Metcalf and Grace and Frankie’s Lily Tomlin.
The 2016 Emmy Awards airs on ABC Sunday, September 18, at 8 p.m. ET.
