The Republican presidential candidate opened the gathering by announcing the “very critical, breaking news.”

“The FBI has just sent a letter to Congress informing them that they have discovered new emails pertaining to the former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s investigation,” Trump told the cheering crowd, before stating: “We must not let her take her criminal scheme into the Oval Office.” (The former Apprentice host has used Clinton’s email scandal to his advantage throughout his campaign.)

While Trump was talking, a bevy of supporters started cheering and chanting, “Lock her up! Lock her up!” Trump supporters yelled the same phrase at the Republican National Convention in July.

The businessman went on to say that he has “great respect for the fact that the FBI and the Department of Justice are now willing to have the courage to right the horrible mistake that they made” and that “this was a grave miscarriage of justice that the American people fully understood, and it is everybody’s hope that it is about to be corrected.”

As previously reported, FBI Director James B. Comey wrote in a letter on Friday that the agency is taking “investigative steps” to review new emails discovered in an unrelated case.

Shortly after, it was revealed that the emails were found during the FBI’s investigation of Anthony Weiner.
