Don't mess with The Donald. Business mogul Donald Trump was tricked by a comedian on Monday, Sept. 29, into retweeting a photo of convicted serial killers, and subsequently threatened a possible lawsuit.
Comedian Philip Bradbury tweeted at The Apprentice star, 68, asking him to retweet a photo which supposedly held special meaning to him. "Hi @realDonaldTrump," the user wrote alongside an old snapshot of a couple smiling. "My parents who passed away always said you were big inspiration. Can you pls RT for their memory?"
The image of the sweet couple, though, turned out to be the faces of Fred and Rosemary West, two convicted serial killers who tortured, assaulted, and murdered at least 11 girls in England during the 1970s. The couple were arrested after police uncovered the bones of one of their daughters, Heather, in 1994. Fred hanged himself in jail, while Rose is currently serving a life sentence. Their home on Cromwell Street, the site of gruesome murders and sinister happenings, was demolished in 1996.
Trump, clearly upset after being duped, took to his Twitter to address his oversight.
Some jerk fraudulently tweeted that his parents said I was a big inspiration to them + pls RT—out of kindness I retweeted. Maybe I’ll sue.

I thought I was being nice to somebody re their parents. I guess this teaches you not to be nice or trusting. Sad!

Bradbury, meanwhile, shared a screen grab of another joke he had made previously, calling it "possibly the greatest thing ever to happen to me on Twitter."
