Donald Trump Tells Wife Melania to ‘Say Something’ After South Carolina Victory, Jokes About Pregnant Daughter Ivanka

Donald Trump may be notoriously outspoken, but his wife, Melania, has remained largely mum throughout his campaigning. On Saturday, February 20, the GOP presidential hopeful invited Melania to “say something” following his win in South Carolina.

“Just wanted to say, an amazing place, South Carolina,” Melania said with a smile in a rare moment. “Congratulations to my husband. He was working very hard.”

Melania, 45, then also added that her husband would “be the best president,” telling the crowd, “he loves you, we love you.”

The fashion designer and model has previously opened up to Us Weekly about leaving the politics to the former Celebrity Apprentice host.

“I give him ideas, and I give him my opinions,” she told Us. “I’m very political. I’m not political in public, I’m political at home.”

Donald, 69, also gave a special shoutout to his pregnant daughter Ivanka before asking her to speak as well.

“I have a great family, I just really want to thank all of you,” he told the crowd. “And Ivanka, we have a hospital ready just in case and South Carolina, we’re going to have a baby and there’s nothing wrong with that. It could be any second. It could even be before I’m finished.”

Former Florida governor Jeb Bush announced his decision to suspend his presidential campaign that same day, leaving Donald to duke it out with Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio for the Republican ticket.

“I’m proud of the campaign that we’ve run to unify our country and to advocate conservative solutions,” a tearful Bush told supporters on Saturday night. “The presidency is bigger than any one person. It’s certainly bigger than any one candidate.”
