The Duchess of Cambridge, 34, will carry out a day of official engagements on October 11. Upon her arrival, she will visit with King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands at Villa Eikenhorst. Kate, who graduated with an art history degree from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, is then set to visit the Mauritshuis, where she will see the "At Home in Holland: Vermeer and His Contemporaries From the British Royal Collection" art exhibition.

Kate is also scheduled to host a roundtable discussion with representatives from the Trimbos Institute on addiction, intervention, family and mental health with two of her favorite charities, Action on Addiction and the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families.

Kate's short trip — which is scheduled just days after she and husband Prince William arrive home from a royal tour of Canada with their children, Prince George, 3, and Princess Charlotte, 16 months — marks her first solo trip abroad. She was previously scheduled to visit Malta in 2014, but was forced to cancel the tour because she was pregnant with Princess Charlotte. Prince William, 34, carried out the trip on Kate's behalf.

On Saturday, September 24, the family of four will touch down in Victoria, British Columbia, to kick off their eight-day Canada trip. They are scheduled to return to London on Saturday, October 1.
