The Duchess looked adorably smitten while interacting with Trudeau after touching down in Vancouver, Canada, with her husband, Prince William, by her side. Kate, 34, stunned in a red-and-white printed Alexander McQueen dress and a Mulberry clutch. Trudeau’s wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, was, of course, also in attendance.

“Catherine and I are delighted to be back in Canada. When we were here last time [in the summer of 2011], we had been married only three months,” Prince William said in his opening speech on Sunday. “The warm welcome that you gave us at that important moment of our lives meant a lot to us — and we have never forgotten it. That is why we are so pleased that George and Charlotte can be with us in Canada this time around, beginning their own lifetime of friendship with this wonderful country.”

Since their arrival, the pair have attended a reception at Government House and visited Bella Bella, a remote wilderness village in British Columbia. On Tuesday, September 27, the Duchess — in a timeless green Dolce & Gabbana number — toured the University of British Columbia’s Okanagan campus, where they also attended a volleyball match. Later in the day, they visited the Mission Hill Family Estate.

On Wednesday, September 28, the duo learned about the history of the Yukon while visiting the MacBride Museum in Whitehorse. The Duchess joined local children at the museum for a storytelling session. They also met with Mike Parkhill, author of the children’s book Hide and Peek, which is used in schools to teach children the native language of Southern Tutchone. The program is supported by the Prince of Wales’ charity Prince’s Charities Canada.

Next up on the Duke and Duchess’ whirlwind tour, according to the official itinerary, is a return to Victoria, where the pair will meet with local parents, including those serving in the Canadian military, and their children at a kids’ tea party at the Government House.
