Eli Manning: Tiki Barber Affair Is "Unfortunate"

Ex-NFL star and Today Show correspondent Tiki Barber has been in recent headlines for all the wrong reasons -- and it hasn't gone unnoticed by his colleagues Eli Manning and Al Roker.
"It's unfortunate," Manning told UsMagazine.com of his former New York Giants teammate at Tuesday's G Series Pro Event at a private loft in New York. Last week, Barber, 35, announced that he and pregnant wife Ginny Cha were separating after 11 years amidst reports of his extended affair with 23-year-old Traci Lynn Johnson, a former NBC intern who once babysat his sons.

"I feel bad for Ginny and what she's going through," the Giants quarterback added. "It's an unfortunate situation."
Barber's Today Show coworker Roker was also crestfallen. "There were children involved," Roker told Us at Wednesday's City Harvest gala at Manhattan's Cipriani. "And it's family and they can work all that out."
Cha and Barber were high school sweethearts and have two sons aged 6 and 7; Cha expects to give birth to their twins imminently.

A source says in the new issue of Us Weekly that Barber was brazenly open with his mistress at the Vancouver Olympics. "He introduced Traci as his girlfriend...They were acting like a couple -- kissing and holding hands."

Al Roker should be talking to Tiki to make the *ss understand he is throwing his career away . . . his family life is gone and he has settled for a homewrecker tramp named Traci. I bet Eugene Johnson is one proud dad knowing his daughter's babysitting duties included adulterous sex with the daddy of the family. Traci is a disgrace and I am sure her college is hiding their heads now that they know she had him sleeping in the dorm with her. Yuck! What a juvenile for a grown man. What is the matter with women these days? Where is their morality and self-respect? This man's wife is pregnant with twins and you want to be with a man who is leaving his family and unborn children? Wow. That is pretty low class, Tiki. I think that's also the first time I heard an athlete acknowledge the wife's humiliation. Eli sympathizing with Ginny is real decent. Read other athletes say stupids things like, "Well, Ginny's not 25 anymore..." or something brain dead along those lines.
I went to UVA with The Barber's and I am just appalled by Tiki's actions.
@Chris - He only cheated with one person. (So far) It seems times are changing, and people have to kick it up a notch if they want to get press for their stupid mistakes. The first two comments amaze me, as if you have never known anyone who has cheated on a spouse/boyfriend or girlfriend. People get off your high horses and stop holding these people to these unimaginable standards. Tiger, Jesse, Charlie, Tiki, Kolby, Mel Gibson, the list can go on forever. I am no way saying that they are right for cheating, but real talk, all this drama comes with the territory.
