Eva Longoria-Parker says she is in the dark about former Desperate Housewives costar Nicollette Sheridan's $20 million law suit against creator Marc Cherry.

But she says the two famously never got along and once had an altercation on the set of the hit ABC show.

"They did have a thing on set," she said Wednesday on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show. "I guess it was a couple years ago. It's so long ago, the actual incident, and I wasn't on set when it happened. Apparently, this incident had happened, and she felt it was wrong."

Although she tried to "get the dirt" on the incident, Parker, 35, told Seacrest "nobody's allowed to talk about it."

Pressed for more details, Parker replied: "Something happened on set regarding them doing a scene. She was doing a scene, and ... he was showing her how to do a scene. Honestly, I wish I knew [what happened]. During that time too, I didn't work with Nicollette's character."

In her lawsuit, Sheridan, 46, alleges that Cherry, 48, hit her in the face on the set and then fired her in retaliation for complaining about him. (Cherry has yet to comment; ABC Studios says Sheridan's claims are "without merit.")

Parker said she is "really confused by this whole thing."

She described Cherry as "funny and sweet and probably could not harm a fly. He's just so sweet." She later said, "Nicollette's a sweet girl, too."

She has yet to speak with her former costar, but she told Seacrest: "I would love to see her to find out if everything is okay. But it's a big lawsuit, it's a big deal. I love the show so much. I would hate for anything to really tarnish the reputation of the show. I really would like for all of it to go away."

Don't be so quick to judge Ms. Sheridan. She may have not wanted to lose her job so soon or had something in her contract that prohibited her from slandering the show. I was a female in law enforcement, and believe me, a lot of things happen behind closed doors that people have no idea happen. The only way to sort this out is to go to court and settle or she's got to go balls to the wall and pursue this if this is really what happened. Supeonas, subpeona, subpeona.

The reason it is more than likely 1 1/2 yrs later is probably due to an agreement once a person leaves which could be part of contract "hush hush".. he did wrong and I think if he did hit her and others know she should sue him because she was a lead and it actually does look like retaliation.. No one deserves treatment like this and then reprisal for retaliation and network to support him... Totally wrong!!

something tells me that nicolette the actress and eadie (sp?) the character are not that different...

Well she actually said that she heard about AN incident, not necessarily THE incident. Apparently they had problems and Nicolette was a diva, but Parker didn't say whether Nicolette was actually hit or not.

I loved Nicollette as Edie and was sorry to see her go. No surprise that Eva would hate to see the show tarnished - I seriously doubt any of the cast would say anything if it did happen and possibly put themselves out of a job and big fat paycheck. "Nobody's allowed to talk about it" says Eva Longoria Parker. Obviously something did happen and no one's talking. Perhaps Mr. Cherry thinks he's Aaron Spelling.

If nobody is allowed to talk about it, Why is she talking about it? She said a lot of things and that she believes it is true!
