Thanks, Batman! Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl revealed during a concert at the Cannes Lions festival in France on Wednesday, June 22, that he once got “superhigh” at a party with Paul McCartney, and Taylor Swift was the superhero who swooped in to save the day.

Grohl, 47, explained that the former Beatle started playing a new song on his piano during the party, mesmerizing the crowd. When he finished, the gathered friends insisted that Grohl take his turn at the keys next.

“Just so you know, Paul McCartney is the baddest motherf–ker in the world,” the rocker said, noting that he was “superhigh” and therefore doubly terrified to follow the music legend.

Add to that the fact that all of the guitars were left-handed (McCartney is a leftie), and Grohl said the situation was “kind of like one of those nightmares where you’re running backwards and always late for whatever you got to go do.” (Grohl is a rightie.)

But luckily for him, Swift, 26, volunteered to play a song, saving Grohl from full-on embarrassment.

“All of a sudden, Taylor Swift stands up and is like, ‘I’ll play a song,’ and I’m like, ‘Ugh, thank God Taylor Swift’s here.’ Like f–king Batman when you need him,” the “Everlong” singer said.

Swift then sat down at the piano and began playing “this really beautiful thing on the piano.” Due to Grohl’s altered state of mind, it took him a while to realize that the “Wildest Dreams” singer was playing the intro to his band’s 2005 song “Best of You.”

“As if I weren’t high enough, that f–king blew me into outer space,” he concluded. He then picked up one of McCartney’s left-handed guitars and jammed alongside Swift.
