America's Next Top Model Cycle 20 contestant Don Benjamin was robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight.

Scary! America's Next Top Model Cycle 20 contestant Don Benjamin was robbed at gunpoint on Wednesday, July 8, in broad daylight, the model tells TMZ. Benjamin, who appeared on the show in 2013 and has modeled for brands including Guess and Moods of Norway, was robbed of $3,000, but is otherwise okay.

A rep for the aspiring rapper told TMZ Benjamin was walking into an art supply store in downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon when a man put a gun to his head and demanded cash. Once Benjamin gave the assailant his cash, the gunman fled with another man in their getaway car.

L.A. authorities are investigating the incident, but Benjamin could not supply a description of the suspect.

Minneapolis native Benjamin appeared on the first season of Tyra Banks' CW reality series that accepted both male and female models, America's Next Top Model: Guys & Girls. He finished in eighth place after disappointing feedback during an underwater photo shoot that induced a panic attack.
