Busted. Former Disney child star Joey Cramer was charged with armed robbery in Canada on Saturday, May 1, according to the Coast Reporter.
Cramer (real name: Deleriyes Joe Cramer), now 42, was initially arrested on April 28 for holding up the Scotiabank in Sechelt, British Columbia, which is the third largest bank in the country. He allegedly wore a wig and demanded money.
One day after committing the crime, he allegedly took off in his vehicle when an officer tried to stop him. According to the Coast Reporter, Cramer — who is best known for the 1986 film Flight of the Navigator — was charged with "robbery, disguise with the intent to commit and indictable offense, failing to stop for a peace officer and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle."
"Despite the fact that a disguise was used during the robbery, the suspect was quickly identified by some of our officers, who had recently dealt with him on an unrelated matter," Constable Harrison Mohr with Sunshine Coast RCMP said in a statement, via Coast Reporter. "We hope that the community feels safer now that the suspect has been apprehended."
The Vancouver, British Columbia, native is in custody and is set to appear in North Vancouver Provincial Court on Tuesday, May 10.
Cramer's last acting gig was in 1996's It's My Party. Some of his other credits include Runaway, The Clan of the Cave Bear and a guest appearance in the series Murder, She Wrote.
