Former Model Lauren Scruggs Steps Out With Prosthetic Eye

Lauren Scruggs is slowly but surely getting back to her normal routine.

The former model and fashion blogger lost her arm and eventually her left eye after accidentally walking into a plane's propeller on December 3. On Tuesday, Scruggs, 23, revealed her prosthetic eye for the first time as she left a gym in Dallas, Texas.

Scruggs was fitted with the new prosthetic eye at the end of January. She also "received a remarkable neurological report last week," her mother, Cheryl, wrote on hr CaringBridge blog Friday. "We are all working hard through the grief and the ups and downs of something so painful and horrific."

Cheryl added that her daughter has done her best to remain optimistic throughout the devastating ordeal. "At times she feels like her world is caving in, when she grieves that her life is changed forever," Cheryl wrote. Fortunately, her daughter's sense of "humor is back! We have had some big time belly laughs...and it's so refreshing!"

The next step in Scruggs' recovery is a prosthetic arm. "After these first three months, Lo is concentrating her energies on her health. It's where God has her and she's getting more and more content with His plan," Cheryl explained. "She works hard at recognizing and acknowledging what God has for her each day, rather than looking too far ahead."

Hey Us weekly. She lost her hand not her whole arm. Might want to go back and fit that part. However glad to see that she is doing better and better everyday.
