George Clooney's girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis has been accused of slamming Jen Aniston on Twitter -- by comparing Aniston to scrawny, bug-eyed rocker Iggy Pop -- but she says it's all a misunderstanding.

The Italian model and actress Tweeted on Tuesday: "I JUST READ ON GOOGLE That I TWEETED something bad about J Aniston,let me be clear,it's a complete LIE,I would never do that!!" (A rep confirmed to UsMagazine.com that the account is bonafide.)
The real story? On Monday Canalis re-tweeted someone else's catty comparison. Originally written in Italian, the dis read: "I'm browsing again through the pages of Rolling Stone. Iggy Pop on the cover looks exactly like Jennifer Aniston."

Canalis said she had "problems" with micro-blogging site Twitter. "I was at the beginning, not sure what 'retweeet' meant," she explained.
She added -- with typos -- Wednesday: "But I don t know what to do with somebody who doesn t understund that it was a MISTAKE to retweet what SOMEBODY ELSE wrote ok?!?"

Canalis, 31, has been dating Clooney, 49, for almost year.

Anyone with a computer can look up and see that this woman has zero room to talk, retweet or not. There are photos of her with a sour puss face after an after-party for awards season. There are photos of her looking like an absolute transvestite. If George had any sense about the whole thing, he'd either wire her jaw shut, break her fingers, or more intelligently - throw her to the curb for insulting a woman he calls a "friend" in Hollywood. Why hasn't Jennifer spoken up about how she feels being insulted by another woman who looks like Steven Tyler from the band, Aerosmith?

saying jennifer looks like iggy is like saying megan fox looks like sarah jessica parker! even though they may have similar features (small blue eyes, narrow face shape) it's doesn't mean anything. there are tons of people who have similar features but some are ugly while some are beautiful. take for instance AJ's lips, it looks good on her but it looks nasty on someone like lisa rinna. the person who said jen looks like iggy probably looks like iggy themselves! jen is gorgeous, she is 40 but she could pass for 30, her features are ok but the way it all comes together makes her gorgeous
