Giovanni Ribisi and Agyness Deyn have quietly parted ways two-and-a-half years after they secretly tied the knot. The Saving Private Ryan actor filed for divorce from his wife on Jan. 16, Us Weekly can confirm.
Court documents list the date of separation as Dec. 28. Ribisi, 40, cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split.
The Avatar star and the model, 31, surprised everyone when they eloped back in June 2012. A rep for Ribisi confirmed the news to Us Weekly after Fashionologie.com reported that he and Deyn were spotted "passionately kissing" at the L.A. County Registrar's office.
In the years since, the two have maintained an impressively low profile. They rarely appeared together at official events, though they did pose for a photo at an L.A. art reception in November 2013.
This was Deyn's first marriage and Ribisi's second. He was previously wed to Mariah O'Brien, with whom he has a teenage daughter, Lucia, until 2001.
