Two-and-a-half weeks after undergoing a double mastectomy, Giuliana Rancic admits she's gone to hell and back during her recovery process.
Speaking to Matt Lauer on Friday's Today Show along with her husband, Bill, Giuliana, 37, says she's now "feeling great," but it took a long while to get there.

"I knew this was going to be a tough surgery but I in no way want to minimize it. Yes, I'm two-and-a-half weeks out, but up until a week-and-a-half ago it was hell. It was horrible," she admitted to Lauer.
In decidedly good spirits when she was wheeled into the operating room December 13, Rancic says she jokingly told surgeons she was ready to "party."

After the procedure, Rancic used morphine to manage her pain, but found that the medication made her sick.
"I went into surgery at 4 p.m. and got out around 9:30 p.m. and by 4 a.m., I had to get off the morphine because I was so sick and I thought to myself, '[if I threw up] you have to engage all of your chest muscles and I just had my chest operated on.'"

As she continues to recover, the E! News hostess relies heavily on the support of her husband of four years.
"I can't really turn much to put my seatbelt, he has to help me get in and out of bed, get dressed…it's a lot of limited mobility and pain," Rancic reasoned Friday.
But as the couple prepare to ring in New Year's Eve in New York City's Times Square with NIVEA, the Rancics look forward to 2012 and a new beginning.

"As soon as 2012 comes in," says Bill, "we're not looking back."

Praying for you G! Stay strong!!
thanks for not minimizing the pain! My mom had two mastectomies at two different times and recovery was horrible and slow for both...Giuliana is inspriing and strong, but I am so glad she isn't acting like it's no big thing! It makes her all the more of a role model.
I feel sorry for her husband
I totally agree Shay. She annoys me on her shows but I admire her strength and courage. I pray for healing and babies in 2012!
I do not care for as a host or on Fashion Police, or E either, but I have a tremendous amount of respect for her as a woman. I wish her the best.
I can't stand her as a presenter, but as a woman I admired her deeply, share such a private matter for the world to see, learn and uktimately judge is hard, I wish her a speedy recovery!
Good for her for being so positive! And even tho they are reality stars, it's a real marriage when someone helps you dress and bathe and recover from life-altering surgery. I can't imagine one of the kartrashians sticking around to help someone like that. All the best, and can't wait to see her back on Fashion Police soon!
I wish her all the best in a speed recovery! Guiliana is a very strong woman. I wish her and Bill all the best for 2012!!!!!!
Best of luck to her!
