With another grandchild on the way, Goldie Hawn is nothing but smiles all around. And in Cannes Thursday, the actress told Us Weekly her secret to enjoying life.
"There's a lot of dark, but you have to balance it out," the 65-year-old star said. "I'm a real optimist. Have the intention to enjoy life and to have a good time. I love being alive. I cherish every moment."
Hawn went on to say that she instilled these values in her three kids. "My foundation is based on a curriculum that teaches children optimism and gives them tools to learn about their brain. If a child can learn how their brain works, they know that's a tool that they can use to grow."
There's no doubt that Hawn will treat her new grandchild with the same sunny outlook. The actress expressed that she's "very excited" over daughter Kate Hudson's pregnancy and "can't wait."
Hudson, 32, is due to give birth this summer. This will be her second child, but her first with fiance Matthew Bellamy. (She had son Ryder, 7, with ex Chris Robinson.)
