Wearing her heart on her sleeve — and then some. Gwen Stefani got raw and extremely emotional for her “Used to Love You” music video, which she released on Tuesday, Oct. 20, two months after announcing her split from husband Gavin Rossdale.
“My video for #UsedToLoveYou,” the Voice mentor, 46, captioned the clip on her Facebook page.
The No Doubt rocker appears absolutely devastated in the video. She breaks down in tears, shakes her head, and gets angry while looking right at the camera.
“Never thought this would happen / Gotta let it sink in, you’re gone,” she sings, alluding to a recent breakup. “You can keep all the memories / I thought I was the best thing that ever happened to you / I thought you loved me the most.”
She continues: “I don’t know why I cry / But I think it’s cause I remembered for the first time / Since I hated you / That I used to love you.” (Stefani debuted the song over the weekend.)
Stefani has previously kept mum about ending her 13-year marriage to the Bush frontman, 49. The estranged couple share sons Kingston, 9, Zuma, 7, and Apollo, 19 months.
