Doting girlfriend! Gwen Stefani couldn’t be at her boyfriend Blake Shelton’s concert in Detroit on Saturday, February 20, but the resourceful No Doubt singer did the next best thing: FaceTime.
According to one country fan, a crew member reportedly had Stefani, 46, on the phone so that she could catch a bit of Shelton’s show.
“A guy backstage tonight was next to a crew member face timing Gwen so she could watch Blake in concert! #gwenstefani #blakeshelton #tonight #gwenandblake #blakeandgwen,” a fan account captioned a screenshot of a post someone wrote on Twitter. “THIS IS THE PICTURE GWEN LIKED ON TWITTER. I just randomly selected it. Same taste.”
The snapshot the “Used to Love You” singer liked was one in which Shelton, 39, stands in the middle of the stadium with a spotlight on him, with his arms up and guitar slung around his shoulders.
The pair, who first stepped out together last fall, haven’t been shy about their PDA on social media — or in song.
Stefani’s new single, “Make Me Like You,” alludes to both her heartbreaking divorce from Gavin Rossdale as well as finding a new love in her fellow Voice coach.
“I was fine before I met you / I was broken but fine / I was lost and uncertain / But my heart was mine,” she croons. “I was free before I met you / I was broken but free / All alone in the clear view / But now you are all I see.”
At Shelton’s Thursday show in Cincinnati, the country crooner blasted one of Stefani’s songs from the speaker system prior to his performance, to the delight of his fans.
