Confirmed: Gwyneth Paltrow is a Mean Girl. Just ask her.

"Oh yes, I can be mean," she tells British Vogue (as excerpted in British paper The Telegraph). "I can cave in to gossip. I can ice people out and I definitely harbor revenge."

The 37-year old actress, wife and mom, who dispenses advice about spirituality, fitness, food and other topics in her weekly "Goop" newsletter, is frank with the magazine about her toxic feelings.

"I'll wake up in the morning and think, 'Ugh, I feel terrible,' and suddenly realize, 'Ah, that's why. I'm holding on to so much hate.'"

At the time of her interview, in fact, Paltrow confided, "I'm having a situation right now with a friend where I'm feeling pretty angry. But revenge is corrosive and it doesn't make me feel good."

Might that friend be Madonna?

Often tagged as one of Paltrow's closest buddies, the 51-year-old pop star came up as Paltrow discussed her new business partner Tracy Anderson -- Madonna's former personal trainer.

"Yeah, it's good that [Tracy] doesn't train Madonna any more. It was too much. She keeps people waiting -- it takes up your whole day," Paltrow sniped.

Paltrow said that she and Anderson plan to open a London exercise studio later this year. Anderson helped the Oscar winner lose 20 pounds after the birth of son Moses, who turns four this week. (He's her second child with husband Chris Martin of Coldplay; daughter Apple is 5.)

"I had to work hard to get it like this," Paltrow says of her svelte shape. "But now I'm here it's so great because I don't have to think about it. I can just enjoy life. What a relief is that."

She adds: "I can eat what I want, as long as I exercise, which is just as well, because if I put the word' diet' into my brain, I immediately gain a stone [i.e. 14 pounds]."

Yeah, it is harboring resentment but this uneducated plainster doesn't want you to notice what a plain looking, run-of-the-mill woman she truly is.

True, at least she didn't lie. Maybe there is hope for her after all. So many liars around these days.

She is just a vindictive b*t*h just like Aniston she just talked her heart and that is not always a good move.

I agree with you Ella W, I've found that true with people...and even myself, it's funny. Also, luv Gwyneth.

I can't stand this chick. She thinks she's so cultured and she's so stuck on herself and not even that attractive!

  • April 06, 2010 - 4:26pm Cyra

I can't stand this woman, never have. She takes herself way too seriously and thinks she is above everyone. She's stuck up. Hey Gwyneth, you were cool for about 5 minutes back in the 1990's until people caught onto your horrible personality and wretched acting. Now no one wants to see you in a movie and no one wants to hear what you have to say. Take your ugly, snooty face back to England and gain 20 stones for all we care! (And by the way, you don't have that great of a body.....you look like a boy!)

  • April 06, 2010 - 4:06pm Yep

I'm not as worried about the "stone" thing. She's been living in London for at least five years now, right? What I'm worried about is the "harbor revenge" thing. That's not a saying. The phrase is "harbor resentment." You "exact revenge", if you were harboring it, you would be getting revenge on yourself. Just sayin'. I know I'm a grammar nerd.

typical vain hollywood star she should keep her mouth shut and it's not like her son Mosses is the only hollywood kid that has a birthday this thursday Nell Newman also does granted she's about 12x his age and both her parents are oscar winners granted her mother won before she was born so Gwyneth is totally another story

  • April 06, 2010 - 2:22pm Shoo

    She is such a self-righteous b.i.t.c.h. I can't stand her.

  • April 06, 2010 - 2:20pm R U Kidding Me?

This chick is a piece of work. First of all, I saw her on Oprah and this "mother of the year" works out for THREE hours a day in her heated excercise room. Who has time to excercise THREE hours a day? Or would even want to?? Just eat like a normal person and stay active, maybe go run around with your kids in the park or something. And Madonna is looking scarier and scarier. Time to let go Madonna, you can't be young and hot forever - but you can age gracefully and not turn into the crazy cat lady.

  • April 06, 2010 - 2:17pm kayla

She should remember that "What goes around, comes around"

  • April 06, 2010 - 1:44pm Ella W

Why do people hate on others who pick up accents/slangs because they live in other countries and actually spend time to immerse themselves in other people's languages and cultures? Obviously those of you who made those comments have not lived anywhere else. The world is a BIG place and it doesn't revolve around this country!

  • April 06, 2010 - 1:09pm Winks

I'm sure if she was speaking for an article to be published in Vogue (US) she would have referenced "pounds". However, the interview was for British Vogue so she referenced "stone" as that's a British term. Nonetheless, I can't stand the b!tch!

brad pitt can't stand her and it is not because she broke his heart. it is because he finally realized what a truly piece of crap of a human being she is. he's never looked back meanwhile until recently she would drone on about him.
