Keeping things civil. Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez put on their best poker faces on Saturday, Nov. 7, taking Berry’s daughter, Nahla, to a pal’s birthday party in Los Angeles.
The couple, who announced their decision to split after two years of marriage less than two weeks ago, looked stone-faced as they drove Nahla, 7, to the event.
Martinez, 49, even still wore a wedding band on his ring finger.
Last week, Berry, also 49, broke her silence about the pair’s decision to call it quits on their relationship.
“I’m doing okay, I really am,” she told Extra’s Terri Seymour on Thursday, Nov. 5, at an event benefitting the domestic abuse facility Jenesse Center in Los Angeles. “I keep pushing and I’m really happy to be here because whenever you’re going through anything in life, when you step outside yourself and focus on others, that’s always the best remedy for any situation that you’d rather not be dealing with.”
Berry and Martinez both filed for divorce from each other late last month, citing irreconcilable differences.
A source told Us Weekly that the split was a long time coming, and the weeks leading up to their final decision were “very heated.”
“It was nonstop fighting towards the end,” the source told Us. “Two very hot-headed people. Lots of screaming and fighting. It was really bad. They both have major tempers and were locking heads constantly. It’s going to be a very bitter divorce.”
The pair share one son together, 2-year-old Maceo. Nahla is Berry’s daughter from a previous relationship with model Gabriel Aubry.
