Hilary Duff Is Engaged!

Hilary Duff is ready to walk down the aisle!
The singer-actress, 22, is engaged to Edmonton Oilers player Mike Comrie, her rep confirms to UsMagazine.com.

The hockey player, 29, popped the question last weekend while the pair were "vacationing in Hawaii," Duff's rep tells Us. "After having been together for over two years, they are very excited to share this happy news," the rep continues. "They are thankful for all of your warm wishes."
Shortly after they began dating in 2007, Comrie surprised Duff with a Mercedes-Benz G-class SUV as an early 20th birthday gift.

"He's a great guy," she told Us last year. "I've never met anyone who could say a bad word about him. He's generous, caring, funny. We just laugh our heads off, which I need in my life ... He's unique. I wouldn't want to be with someone who wasn't unique."
Duff told Us they have a surprisingly "natural" relationship.

"We both have busy jobs, and we're both very focused people, so that helps," she told Us of their sometimes long-distance relationship. "Since we are apart so much, it's not like one person is at home waiting for the other."

Added Comrie, "We have fun. We both live such different lives, but it's always fun to support each other and spend time when we get to."
Duff previously dated rocker Joel Madden and teen star Aaron Carter.

Why would Hilary -while making so much money- get involved in a law suit against her father for not paying $25,000 for her 21st birthday party? Talk about being unstable. She was a million earning adult, she should have payed for it herself. She should have stopped her mother from suing, as she honestly didn't need help from neither parent. Anyway, she has a lousy stubby figure. Plus she's getting married way too young. I give this marriage 2 years max.
I really like Hilary Duff. I forgot about her, but now that I hear about her, I remember how humble and clean she was. Did you guys now that she remained a virgin in her early adult years? I like how she was very reserved and herself. You can't find many females like that today. She never fed into peer pressure or what was "in" at the moment for people her age. 22 is very young. It's weird because it seems like only a few years she was 14! It's strange when you see celebs grow up. To those why brag about being only 18-19 and getting married, that's fine, but what our society doesn't realize is that those are young ages and more people should LIVE LIFE before settling down so quickly. The divorce rate is 60% in America you know.

Too young?? She's not 15 anymore, ya know, although she did have a #1 album when she was (and it's one of the greatest ever). She has more life experience than a lot of older girls, and she has always been a good role model (except for that horrid song "Reach Out"). She should make more albums because she's a better singer than actress, but I have always been a fan and wish all the best for her and her guy - hope he doesn't break her heart! btw, fat?? She has a real girl's body, that's all.
