When a surprised Jessica Simpson spotted ex-husband Nick Lachey just three tables away at L.A. eatery Red O Oct. 21, she had not-so-kind words for his dinner date Vanessa Minnillo, witnesses tell the new Us Weekly.
Simpson, 30, (dining with beau Eric Johnson, mom Tina and four other pals) didn't greet Lachey; instead, an observer tells Us, she angrily told her server: "'I hope Vanessa likes her clothes because I bought them for her, since Nick took all my money.'" (She and Lachey, 36, divorced in 2005.)

A Simpson confidante adds that the star "got nervous" when Lachey and his love of four years Minnillo, 29, unexpectedly showed up. "It was very weird and awkward."
Indeed, another Red O witness tells Us she "got really loud and started drinking margaritas and doing shots of tequila" to deal with her former spouse's presence.

even tho Nick has Jess money doesn't give jess the right to treat Vanessa that way whatever beef Nick and Jess have, Jess shouldn't try to put Vanessa down like that. Vanessa is nothing but nice. Damn, because if Jess would had said something like that about me OH BROTHER!!! i would had walked up to her and said "yeah this was bought with your money and well i am damn well enjoying how beautifully it fits". and just smile and walk away :D ***but that just me*** no insults or fighting just that.

Come on everyone. How would you feel if you ran into your ex at a restaurant? Jessica is a well spoken, beautiful independent woman. Nick is a dead beat who was in an "OK" boy band how many years ago? I would do the same thing if I were her. Just because you guys think Nick is hot does not give you the right to put her down. You all know that if you saw your ex out, you would respond the same way.
Jessica, you really need to get in the studio and record another album ASAP. Don't waste your god-given talent to sing. You have a great voice, and you need to start making music. Hop to it girl!!!!! Let's go, Let's go, Let's go!!!
I actually got to work with both nick and Jessica when they did a USO tour. Nick was great - jessica was a b#$ch. so I am not suprised by anything she has done. she acted like a spoiled little brat....

Its time to grow up Jessica..If i remember, it was him that had all the money..and when you got married is when you started to make more then him...i guess you should have signed a prenup huh....and besides, u didnt want him in the first place.....Time to move on!!!
If this was true then why wouldn't Vanessa get up and walk out???? Nick is a has been and Jessica is better off without him.
Nick did make out very well in the divorce and that's why Vanessa and him are able to party and vacation all the time without working very often. Jessica must of looked over and realized she is better off without him and his big, lazy nose. I'm sure Vanessa was giving Nick a lap dance all through dinner like she usually does (real classy US Weekly!). A guy will never marry a girl that puts out easy, Nessa.
I guess Nick taking all her money would explain how he's able to live so lavishly. I don't know what kind of career the guy has, I never heard of him before that show.
