What a way to turn the big 6-0! To celebrate his 60th birthday, Howard Stern (and several of his A-list pals) joined together at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC on Friday, Jan. 31. The SiriusXm disc jockey set up the star-studded event just like his radio show, with a slew of celebrities participating -- and Us Weekly was inside the big bash to see everything go down!

The four-hour broadcast included gags, video tributes, and unforgettable performances. Some of the highlights included Jimmy Fallon taking a shot on stage with Jimmy Kimmel, Katie Couric saying she would head home with Stern and his wife Beth, 42, and (gasp!) Ryan Phillippe stripping down to his pants and giving Stern's longtime cohost Robin Quivers a lap dance! Stern and David Letterman also sat down for a lengthy interview.

Lena Dunham and her Fun. musician boyfriend Jack Antonoff were also on hand for the shindig. The Girls creator and star got back at Stern by doing a little stand-up roast on stage. (In January 2013, Stern caused an outrage when he slammed the actress and her HBO series. "It's a little fat girl who kinda looks like Jonah Hill and she keeps taking her clothes off and it kind of feels like rape," he said at the time. She later called into his show and he apologized.)

Stern's memorable night didn't just stop with jokes. The evening was also jam-packed with performances by John Mayer, Steven Tyler and Slash, and Jon Bon Jovi. Adam Levine performed Prince's "Purple Rain," while Dave Grohl's performance of "My Hero" left Stern in tears.

Other stars in attendance included Bryan Cranston, Jenny McCarthy and beau Donnie Wahlberg, Justin Theroux, Robert Downey Jr., Heidi Klum, Seth Meyers, Rosie O'Donnell, Johnny Knoxville, Jewel, John Stamos, and many more.

It was certainly a night to remember, but even a bash so big couldn't outshine how Stern celebrated his actual birthday on Jan. 12. "I spent the day with my children. And at night, Beth and I went out to a romantic dinner," the man of the hour told Us. "It was very beautiful."
