Hugh Hefner is understandably bitter.
After all, the 85-year-old Playboy mogul's wedding to Crystal Harris was called off just five days before they planned to tie the knot in front of 300 family and friends.
"The breakup is a heartbreaker, but better now than after the marriage," a somber Hefner tweeted Tuesday. "Since we're not getting married on Saturday, I've scheduled a movie: Runaway Bride. Seems appropriate."
Despite the sly dig, Hefner remained supportive of Harris, 25, telling his Twitter followers: "Crystal's 'Club Queen' became available on iTunes today. I hope it's a hit."
It would have been the third marriage for Hefner, who has four kids (ages 58, 55, 21 and 19) with his first two wives.
Back in April, Hefner told Us Weekly he was "excited" to wed his latest love. "Everything in place," he said. "She's wonderful and she's done a really terrific job so far with all the planning. She is the one for me!"
