A very difficult time. Jamie Otis' husband, Doug Hehner, shared a beautiful and highly emotional message via Instagram Wednesday, July 13, after news of his wife's sad miscarriage broke.
Taking to social media, the Married at First Sight star shared a photograph of their late baby's footprint, along with other sentimental items such as their scan photographs, that the devastated parents had put together in a memory box.
"#BabyHehner even though you could only leave us with your footprints, you will forever remain in our hearts," the grieving dad wrote. "@jamienotis and I love you! Thank you everyone for your love and support," he continued.
Otis herself revealed the sad news earlier that day, just one week after announcing that she and husband Hehner were expecting a baby.
"Our Baby Hehner was just too beautiful for earth. I love him so much — ALWAYS will — and can't wait to meet him in heaven one day. Please pray for us. 💔😢,” the 30-year-old nurse captioned an Instagram photo of a poster that read: “An angel opened up the book of life and wrote down my baby's birth. Then she whispered as she closed the book, ‘He’s too beautiful for earth.’”
The couple, who met on season 1 of the FYI Network reality show, announced they were expecting during an appearance on the Today show July 5. “I feel like I’m trying to wear the tiniest dress because you can barely tell there’s a baby in there,” Otis said during their appearance, in which she wore a tight cream-colored dress.
