Jared Followill is officially off the market.

The Kings of Leon bass guitarist, 25, asked model Martha Patterson to be his wife, a rep for the band confirms to Us Weekly. "Yes, it's true!" the rep says. "Jared proposed to Martha on April 11 at his home in Nashville and we're all excited for the newly engaged couple." (Their happy news was first reported by Just Jared.)

Followill designed Patterson's ring, a 4-carat cushion-cut diamond set on a diamond-covered band. The couple, who have been together just a few months, will split their time between Nashville and L.A.

Patterson showed off her diamond engagement ring inside the VIP section of the Coachella Music Festival in Indio, Calif. in April. They were joined by supermodel Karlie Kloss, 19, and her boyfriend, St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford, 24.

A source close to Followill wasn't surprised by his decision to put a ring on it, telling Us: "He has been wanting to settle down with her. He wants to marry her."

Patterson, who is signed to Click Models, isn't the first brunette beauty to win Jared's heart: He dated Twilight actress Ashley Greene, 25, for several months in 2011. The musician was also engaged to model Alisa Torres, but they split in 2009.

Jared's cousin, Kings of Leon guitarist Matthew Followill, 27, welcomed son Knox with wife Johanna Bennett in April 2011.
