Lots to celebrate! Jason Aldean and Brittany Kerr made their first red carpet appearance as a married couple this past weekend.
The country singer, 38, hit the iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 29, with his new wife on his arm. The 27-year-old American Idol alum went sexy for the awards show, donning a skintight black leather strapless dress with slits up the leg.
Kerr held close to her husband, showing off her massive diamond engagement ring as she slipped her other arm around Aldean’s back. The “Hicktown” performer was the classic cowboy in a cowboy hat, denim shirt, jacket, and distressed jeans.
The country crooner was honored at the star-studded event at L.A.’s Shrine Auditorium, beating out Lady Antebellum, Florida Georgia Line, Eric Church, and Luke Bryan, to win Country Song of the Year for his 2014 hit “Burnin’ It Down.” He also performed the winning single at the celebratory bash.
This was the first time Aldean and Kerr have stepped out as husband and wife since the two stars said “I do” on March 21. As Us Weekly exclusively revealed, the newlyweds exchanged vows in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, surrounded by family and friends.
Aldean nodded to Kerr in his acceptance speech at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, and touched on the pair’s recent nuptials. “First of all, I want to thank my new wife Brittany over here,” the singer began, going on to name his two daughters Keeley, 12, and Kendyl, 7, from a previous marriage.
