Bonjour! Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck reunited for a family trip to Paris late last week. The pair, who announced their divorce last year, traveled to France with their three children on Friday, May 6.
“They were acting like a normal family, but I don’t think there was any romance between Ben and Jennifer,” a source tells Us Weekly. “They were just acting like great parents. The kids were really happy!”
Garner, 44, was spotted taking kids Violet, 10, Seraphina, 7, and Samuel, 4, to the Jardin du Luxembourg before returning to Place de la Concorde, where they rode on a ferris wheel together.
“They could see the whole city from there, including the Eiffel Tower,” the source notes.
Later in the day, Affleck, 43, joined the family at nearby ice cream parlor Amorino, where their children snacked on gelato. In the evening, the entire clan headed to Le Petit Marché restaurant.
The Daredevil stars announced their split just one day after their 10th wedding anniversary on June 30, 2015. In a joint statement to Us Weekly, they said, “After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to coparenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time.”
Since then, Garner and Affleck have been spotted together on numerous occasions — including Christmas and Valentine’s Day — and have remained on good terms.
“Jen promised the kids she would show them Europe and Ben said he would join when he wasn’t filming, as he wanted to be there,” a second source tells Us.
As Us Weekly exclusively reported last month, the duo are renting a house together in the U.K. while he films Justice League. “They take turns bringing the kids to where the other is on location,” a source close to Affleck explained.
